This was a struggle I enjoyed the first few chapters but then it went rambling on and went round in circles. Like other reviewers I lost track of all the various characters and didn't really care for any of them. She paints a good picture of the landscape, I can see the pool and tree and river and lonely dwellings that was atmospheric, just not connecting with the people.

Hard to follow a book like The Girl on a Train and sadly, for me at least, this book was a disappointment.

sorry, just not as good as her first book. I really wanted to like this but could not feel any sympathy for any of the characters.

I didn't enjoy this book at all. I bought it the day it was as released as I l loved the book before. But I was very disappointed. I wasn't looking forward to picking up and readinganother chapter. Confusing flat and drawn out.I abandoned this book at 80 per cent.....I just could not read anymore

Ridiculous sub-plot of witchcraft and too many characters with little depth made this book irritating and hard work. It would have worked better as a straightforward whodunnit.

Awful. Badly written, too many characters to keep track of and giving their points of view throughout the story. A disappointing read!
